SHAREit is therefore free software that not only allows you to transfer files from your smartphone to your PCs, but also from your PC to your smartphone or tablet. No need to send files via USB cable anymore, everything is done much more easily and quickly.
An elegant, sober, French and functional interface then makes it possible to easily transfer any type of file from one device to another. On the other hand, mobile applications are not easy to understand at first glance. In fact, before you connect to the PC, the home page offers applications, as if it were a download platform.
To connect to your PC, you must click on the icon comprising 4 squares in the menu bar at the top of your screen. You will then be asked to scan the QR Code displayed on your computer screen (the simplest), connect to the PC with the device scan system (longer and less stable).
The main interest of SHAREit is the transfer of files in complete confidentiality and security. To achieve this, the app creates a temporary Wi-Fi hotspot on which data is exchanged.
It is therefore not necessary to have a Wi-Fi network or access to the 3G / 4G network. The data does not pass through the Internet, so it is impossible to intercept it.
From the utility on PC, you can quickly drag and drop files to send them to your phone or tablet. It is also possible to take a screenshot of a defined area of your computer screen to send it to your mobile in JPG format. A shortcut also allows you to quickly access the received files.
In addition to photo and file transfer features, SHAREit also includes other handy features. The utility allows in particular to save all the photos of the phone on your connected PC. This command is faster to access and saves time.
With the “Remote View” tool of the mobile application, you can browse your computer’s folders and directories from your smartphone, in order to find the files you want to download individually to your mobile device.
The “PPT Control” service will help you during your PowerPoint presentations. From your smartphone, you can control the scrolling of your slideshow. A finger swipe upwards displays the next slide while a downward swipe returns to the previous slide.
From a performance point of view, the file exchange mode provides significantly faster synchronization than applications that use the Internet to transfer data. The tool can exchange files up to 100 GB in size, which is more than enough for most users.
However, we regret that the SHAREit mobile application displays so many advertisements. Fortunately, its version for PC does not display any.
