50% aggregate marks:
- If you appear in a single group- you need 50% aggregate in it.
- If you appear in both the groups- you need 50% aggregate in both the groups combined (if you score less than 50% in one group, but your aggregate for both the groups is above 50%, you will be considered as passed.)
Exemption
ICAI allows an exemption if a student does not score the minimum 40% marks in one or more papers. It is only possible if the candidates score more than 60% marks in one or more papers and have appeared in all the papers.
However, there are certain conditions:
- You have to pass in the remaining subjects in the next three upcoming attempts because the exemption will be valid only till then.
- If you have converted from the old course to the new course, your exemption will no longer be valid.
In your CA Final result, instead of failed, F-Ex will be written. ‘#’ will be mentioned against the papers from which you are exempted.
