Kitchen Hacks for Indian

We were forced to stay at home and manage everything ourselves due to the COVID-19 epidemic. We were compelled to meet office deadlines while still handling household activities because we didn’t have any house help. Cooking takes a long time, no matter how much one enjoys it. This may be difficult at times, given our increasingly hurried existence. Nobody wants to spend the entire day in a confined space.

Cooking is undeniably a lovely activity; it allows you to experiment with spices’ delightful flavor and perfume while creating delectable foods for you and your loved ones to enjoy. It’s an activity that you can really enjoy and get a lot of enjoyment out of. However, it becomes bothersome when it becomes a habit, especially when we are pressed for time. Knowing us helps in circumstances like this.

Kitchen Hacks

So, let’s get started and look at a few interesting kitchen/cooking tips without further ado.

Plan Ahead Of Time:

Make a list of everything you’ll require throughout the next week. This will not only assist you in purchasing what you require, but it will also assist you in planning your weekly meals ahead of time. Plan ahead of time if you have plans for the weekend to avoid last-minute treks to the market. Also, finish the time-consuming chore of peeling and boiling all the vegetables ahead of time. Kitchen Hack:

Even though your storage containers are clear, don’t you think labeling them would make it easier to find what you’re looking for? Consider why companies label their products in the first place. Because the goods are clearly labeled, you can readily identify them when hurrying through a store. So, spend some time this weekend carefully labeling those storage boxes, and you’ll be fine.

Properly Store Herbs and Spices:

The fungus can grow on spices, dried Chillies, and Jaggery (Gur) if you live in a humid climate. It’s a sad situation, especially in the winter, because spices are EXPENSIVE, and we don’t want to waste them. Fill each of your spice jars or boxes with a few cloves. Jaggery can be refrigerated and stored in an airtight container to avoid waste.

Lemon to the Rescue:

When it comes to cooking, lemon is a magical ingredient. Its acidic nature is beneficial in several conditions. Green chutneys, such as Pudina or coriander chutney, can also be preserved with lemon. People who are away from home make meals in large quantities and freeze them to save time.

Chutneys are a big yes since they take less time to create and may be served with rice, roti, dosa, idli, and other Indian dishes. These chutneys, however, lose color and flavor when refrigerated. To avoid this, we have a unique cooking tip: while grinding the chutney, add one whole lemon. It has a tart flavor and helps to keep the color and freshness of the fruit. Alternatively, add a scoop of flour to the grinder.

Curry: Is It Too Liquid?

It takes time and experience to master the amount of water required for curries. We may make a measurement error and add too much water. It’s not always possible to simply boil it at high heat to evaporate the water. We don’t always have time to wait for the water to evaporate, so toast and grind a tablespoon of poppy seeds instead.
