e) Environmentally friendly alternative: using M-Sand avoids dredging river sand beds that may result in environmental catastrophe such as depletion of the grounds, water shortage, a hazard to bridge protection, dams, etc. M-Sands is an environmentally friendly river sand option.
f) Economy: As M-Sand use has improved in reliability, workability, higher strength, decreased post-concrete deficiencies, reduced separation and permissibility, it is cost-effective as the river sand replacement building material.
Humidity content: Humidity is only present in M- sand washed in water. Whereas, the sand of the river has moisture stuck between the healthy particles for concreting.
A greater percentage of microfines: M-sand, due to its production process, can contain larger quantities of microfines than natural sand. Quarry dust is one of the M-Sand microfines that are residual dust produced during the crush of stone. Chances of early cracking and weakening are greater since it is not cleaned properly and without necessary grades. This can impact screen strength and workability.
Adulteration: M-Sand is now adulterated by quarry dust as a result of high demand. Opt sand for construction.
